Couch to 5k: The Walker Guide

Couch to 5K_walker guideWhen it comes to exercise, you need to have goals. Whether it’s losing weight, restoring your energy, or just to feel a sense of accomplishment, setting a series of goals is a huge piece of the puzzle.

The trick it set lots of mini goals along the way. All of those small wins will keep you on track, and they’ll keep your confidence soaring. With that in mind, we figured training for a 5K race is a great place to start. It takes lots of weekly wins to reach the finish line, and the 5K will definitely be a big step towards a healthier lifestyle.

To get your there, we created a “Couch to 5K” program specifically designed for walkers/joggers. And, if you aren’t ready to jog, just stick to walking. As long as you keep moving, you’ll log the necessary steps to reach the finish line. Here’s how it works:

Step 1) Pick a 5K in your area that you’d like to walk.

Step 2) Give yourself 6 weeks to train for it

Step 3) Follow this guide

Step 4) Dominate that sucker!
